Mr H C Sheshanna

Book-Mark International founded by Mr. Sheshanna with an ambition to spread education and reading habits by selling books door to door in villages, towns and districts. It was not an easy job to educate people in 2 and 3 tier places as they don’t throw value on books. BMI started in the year 2003 with a team of 2 people and now have moved steadily with a team of 80, working hard to educate 1,00,000 students every year by selling door to door.
BMI negotiates net price with publishers so that they can offer good price to kids and keep low margins to run the team. In the year 2010 BMI started conducting school fairs in schools and offer very good price to students and make them feel happy about their selections. BMI team of book experts – former educators, booksellers, and Book Fair veterans – reviews hundreds of books from top 10-15 publishers each year. BMI are backed with experienced teams who have worked for more than a decade in publishing industry. Selections of books are made purely keeping the demand and necessity of every child.
Our motto is to provide the best books in the publishing industry at the best price, best quality, best content and best service.

Why Hold a Book Fair?

Each year BMI book fairs in partnership with schools across the country, hosts more than 300 book-sale events that give more than 1 million students and their families access to thousands of affordable and educational products, helping foster a lifelong love of reading. Book fairs are time-honored vehicles for schools to raise money, promote literacy, and introduce students and their families to books they may not otherwise encounter. School communities like holding book fairs because they can:

  • Raise funds for a school in a manner consistent with its educational mission.
  • Promote literacy
  • Enrich classroom and library book collections.
  • Provide books to students-including the opportunity to purchase books for those who may not have the funds to buy them.
  • School and parent volunteers work with BMI Book Fair representatives to organize these weeklong events at school, where children can peruse and purchase their favorite books.
  • From its nationwide network of more than 15 branches with customer service facility, BMI delivers its Fairs to schools, with the majority of books displayed face-front and grouped by age or grade-level, so it’s easy for kids to find characters and subjects they love and want to read about.
